SOFTPRO software is hardware agnostic. That means you’re free to choose which hardware you want to use to capture a customer’s esignature – iPad, Android-based tablet, Windows slates, signature capture devices, tablet PCs, pen displays, Smartphones, etc.  SOFTPRO doesn’t force you to choose a particular device – you select the product that best meets your needs.

Perhaps what’s even more important is you can choose the best solution now and make alternative choices tomorrow.  In a sense, your software investment is protected because you always have the option to upgrade to the best device on the market at any time.

Consider the following when selecting a device:

  • Do you want a dedicated signing device or multi-function (pin pad/cardswipe, fingerprint, camera, etc.) device?
  • If a dedicated signing device, is it important to have visual feedback under the stylus, display of text, or marketing info via an LCD or is an opaque signing surface sufficient?
  • Does a color display make a difference in your application?
  • Is it important to sign on paper while simultaneously capturing an electronic signature?
  • What are the pros and cons of resistive, electro-magnetic, and magnetic resonance sensor technologies?
  • Do you need a mobile signing device?  Is a lightweight, small footprint dedicated signature device the right fit or can na iPad or other slate computer or tablet PC be leveraged?  How much processing power, functionality, and storage do you need locally.  Will you always be connected or must the device be able to work off-line as well?

Of course, there are a lot of options and ultimately the decision usually boils down to which set of features and functionality at a given price deliver the greatest value.    Whichever hardware solution you choose, our software “plays nice.” Contact Us to discuss how we can help you with this decision.
